Evening classes

Our Centre for Languages, Culture and Communication offers evening classes in languages, arts, humanities, business, and the sciences.

  • Imperial alumni can book using the ‘Internal Rate’ to secure a substantial discount.
  • Courses run for 20 weeks from October to March, with a break for Christmas.
  • Enrolment opens on 1 August and early bird fees are available until the end of September.

In collaboration with the library team, we offer alumni access to an ever-growing range of online databases, e-journals and e-books, so you can continue to use these invaluable resources after you graduate.

  • There are more than 35 resources available - our most popular are the Wall Street Journal, JSTOR, Statista, and Times Higher Education (THE).
  • Please note, the method for accessing online resources can vary according to the licensing agreement so please refer to the instructions provided.
  • You will need an Imperial Plexus account to access online resources. Some resources also require an Imperial alumni email address.

As part of our regular programme of alumni events, we often bring together a panel of alumni experts with Imperial academics to share their insights and advice on a hot topic or pressing issue.

Coffee & Coach

Coffee & Coach is an established online career development programme open to alumni worldwide. The programme offers free coaching-style sessions to early-career alumni who graduated from Imperial within the last ten years and have at least three years working experience. Coachees will be paired with a more experienced alum for coaching over a period of six months.

Recent graduates benefit from the shared wisdom and experience of more experienced alumni, while for those offering their time and expertise, it can be a great way to learn a new skill as we offer online coaching training to get you started.

Careers support and job searches

Imperial’s Careers Service

Imperial alumni can continue to access support from our Careers Service after graduation as we support you in your professional development.

  • Alumni who graduated within the last three years are entitled to the full range of services offered to existing students which includes the use of the Careers Service Information Room and reference library, appointment systems, workshops, employer presentations and careers events. You are also able to access the JobsLive website to search for job opportunities.
  • Experienced alumni who graduated more than three years ago are welcome to use some of the services offered to existing students and recent alumni, such as the Careers Service Information Room and reference library. 
Job searches

On Imperial Plexus, you can search for job opportunities offered by, or targeted to Imperial alumni. You’ll find the jobs board under the ‘Discover’ menu. If you don’t already have a Plexus account, request yours here.

Support for entrepreneurs

Access programmes to help you develop your idea and build your company

  • Access Imperial’s entrepreneurial competitions and programmes for up to three years after graduation, make use of the Enterprise Lab’s co-working and library space and explore opportunities with the White City Incubator, Imperial’s innovation hub for deep science startups.
