Vincent Briscoe Security Lecture

The ISST hosts the Vincent Briscoe Security Lecture, part of the Imperial annual lectures series. Each year, we invite an expert in security or resilience to deliver a talk to our network and the public.

Previous Briscoe lecturers include Ambassador Mircea Geoană, NATO Deputy Secretary General; Jeremy Fleming, former Director of GCHQ; and Cressida Dick, former Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police Service.

Zero Pressure podcast

The ISST coordinates the Zero Pressure podcast with Saab. Zero Pressure is hosted by Britain's first astronaut, Helen Sharman. Each episode invites a pioneering guest to discuss their area of science and technology in aerospace, defence, security and / or resilience.

Guests have included: Paul Scharre, author of Army of None and Four Battlegrounds; Yang Gao, Centre for Robotics Research lead at King's College London; and Conrad Banks, Chief Engineer - Defence Future Programmes at Rolls-Royce.
